this carrd is an entry point for an immersive, narrative-based rp community called stray, under the pretense of speaking in-character to the entity known as cruor. if you are unable to navigate this page, we recommend following the above link to our landing page. however, be advised that our landing page will not take you to the ooc carrd containing more information about the narrative at the heart of this community. basic touchpoints to answer "what is this", however, are:
❖ stray is a narrative rp group that encompasses MULTIPLE VENUES, a ROLEPLAYING CAMPAIGN, our FREE COMPANY, and our DISCORD SERVER. anyone may join our server and campaign at any time. at the time of writing, our server has a little over 400 members.❖ we have ZERO TOLERANCE FOR GENERATIVE AI and are a community of creatives. we write our own story, create our own artwork and custom mods for our story, and create our own soundtrack for our campaign. if you use generative ai in any capacity, this is not a community for you.❖ stray's narrative strongly centers ethical dilemmas and moral issues with no clear answer, and contains sensitive content detailed in our style guide. our community is aggressively political ooc, highly communicative, anti-racist, pro-lgbt+, anti-cop, etc. our community is artist-first, and operated by BIPOC and LGBT+ community members. we expect our members to engage in critical analysis of the content being explored.❖ this page sets the tone for our roleplay. for more information about the tone, style, and genre of the rp that we are doing, please view our style guide. for more about our ARPG and what that entails, view the guide here❖ stray's roleplay is always narrative-based and character-first. writing styles range from one-liners to novella. our latest arc, crucible iv, ended with a server-wide word count total of 654,600 words over approximately 70 submitted pieces and 13 GMed events. the largest event during this arc reached 62,400 words, between 20 writers, across 8 hours of rp.part 1 and part 2 are available to read as examples of our events.
